General Service Policy:
A 24 hour notice is required to cancel or change your appointment. Please email us direct to cancel or change your appointment.
All Onsite Interpreting appointments are billed on a 2-hour minimum or scheduled reserved time, whichever is greater. We do offer 1/2 day, full day, evening and weekend rates.
Definitions of half-day, full-day and night session
a. A half-day session is defined as any portion of a consecutive four-hour period either:
1. A morning session, beginning no earlier than 8:00 a.m. and ending by 12:15
p.m;
2. An afternoon session, beginning no earlier than 1:00 p.m. and ending by 5:15
p.m.; or
3. A night session, which is a separate session, as determined by the court,
beginning no earlier than 5:15 p.m. and ending by 10:00 p.m.
b. A full-day session is defined as a morning session and an afternoon session
Reservation Policy:
Last minute requests will be charged an additional 15%
Cancellation Policy:
If cancelled with less than 24 hrs, you will be charged the 2-hour minimum. If cancelled within 48 hours, you will be charged the minimum 2-hours or scheduled reserved time, whichever is greater.
Payment Policy:
Payments are due within 10-days or 50% up front for new customers, unless otherwise agreed prior to scheduling of the assignment.
Privacy and Non-Disclosures
At IL Interpreters we recognize the importance of privacy to our customers, subcontractors and employees and we make it a top priority to safeguard the personal information we collect.
The purpose of this Privacy Policy and Safe Harbor Framework (this “Policy”) is to describe the practices employed by IL Interpreters with respect to the acquisition, receipt, use, and protection of the information we receive from and on behalf of our customers, and visitors to our website located in the United States or outside the US.
IL Interpreters subcontractors must abide by the California's Interpreters Code of Conduct provided by the (Judicial Council), the California Healthcare Interpreters Association (CHIA), in addition to adhering to HIPPA rules and regulations.
We do our best to provide our customers with the best interpreters and translators in the industry. HOW? All of our certified interpreters and translators must provide verification of their certification, whether it's from the Judicial Council, California Personnel Services, and or the ATA. Qualified interpreters must have a minimum of 2+ years of professional interpreting or translating experience. All of our interpreters must go through a thorough contracting process, "We Don't Just Contract Anyone". Such process includes, but it's not limited to: Contract signing, certificate, certification, and reference verification, as well as signing and understanding our Code of Ethics and Standards Policies, etc.
Terms and Conditions for our Booking Service
Our Agency may refer Interpreters for onsite interpreters in over 100 languages. New Policy: For Onsite Exotic Language Interpreters, please note Interpreters will be responsible in Billing and Collecting after each assignment. We ONLY Bill for Mrs. Valencia's Services.
General Terms for the Booking Service: Upon receipt of your Interpreting request, IL Interpreters will automatically schedule your request. If canceled on same day or after booking has started, you will be responsible for the minimum "administrative fee $25.00". If interpreter has been booked / secured, and you cancel on the same day or with less than 24 hours of the appointment, you will be responsible for the minimum of (2) hours or scheduled reserved time, whichever is greater. Note: SOME INTERPRETERS have a minimum of 2/3 hour minimum charge and therefore, if you cancel with Less than 24 hours your firm will receive a Cancellation Invoice for the Less Than 24 Hour Cancellation, unless otherwise agreed prior to the Booking of the Appointment. You will also be billed for the Referral, of no less than $25.00 shown on your invoices as an "administrative fee".
IL Interpreters will still bill, collect from all current customers, and we will reimburse our interpreters/translators based on the signed agreement between IL Interpreters. IL Interpreters has written agreements with all Subcontract (Interpreters, Translators, and Over the Phone Interpreters), and therefore any payment related issues, fees, policies shall be dealt with directly between IL Interpreters and Subcontractors and NOT with ANY OF OUR CUSTOMERS. It is a Breach of Agreement, if any of IL Interpreters contact any of IL Interpreters Customers, therefore, if at any time any of our Subcontractors make direct contact with you (Customer), please refer them back to IL Interpreters. Information regarding our contract with you (customer) and (subcontractors) are strictly confidential and should NOT be shared, distributed, or disseminated at any time.
IT IS HEREBY PROHIBITED FOR ANY SUBCONTRACTOR to HAVE ANY DIRECT COMMUNICATION WITH OUR CUSTOMERS, UNLESS IL INTERPRETERS PROVIDES AUTHORIZATION IN WRITING. Our Terms and Conditions with our Subcontractors and Customers are strictly confidential and will NOT and SHOULD NOT BE Shared with anyone, or at anytime.
